Beginning in the late 1950s, the United States and Soviet Union expanded the battlefield of the Cold War into near earth space.  Initially limited to robotic surveillance satellites, military space programs on both sides quickly began to explore the possibilities of manned spacecraft in the new "High Frontier." While the covert American manned military space programs were canceled for budget reasons, the Soviets did eventually launch a pair of military space stations in the 1980s.

But what if the United States had clandestinely continued their manned military space program? That is the question asked by Yucca Publishing (@YuccaPublishing) author Mike Jenne(http://www.mikejennebooks.com/) in a new series of books. The first of these, BLUE GEMINI, hypothesized that the Soviet Union has developed an orbital 100 Mt bombardment system, which the United States decides must be "negated." The instrument of this "negation" will be a spacecraft known as "Blue Gemini," a modified U.S. Air Force derivative of the two-man NASA spacecraft flown in 1965/66. Insightful and historically accurate, BLUE GEMINI was a thriller with a solid basis in fact, and could have easily become reality. Now the second volume in the series, BLUE DARKER THAN BLACK has arrived.

To learn more about BLIUE DARKER THAN BLACK, tune into this week's edition of Military Monday (#MilitaryMonday on the Writestream Radio Network (@Writestream)) at 1 PM EDT. Author, historian, journalist, documentary filmmaker, and host John D. Gresham (@greshamj01) has invited Yucca Press author Mike Jenne to talk about the historic facts behind his new novel.
