Tonight we feature the poetry of C. P. Cavafy, a Greek who lived in Alexandria, Egypt and has since become universally identified with that city. "He stands at a slight angle to the universe" E. M. Forster said of him. Also we spotlight Charles Simic who was born in Belgrade, immigrated to the US and became one of our poet laureates. Don't forget this is a call-in show. You are always welcome to come and share your favorite poets with us.
