The slasher film is a pertinent analogy for how students enroll in college with the best intent but end up getting screwed, even to the point of career death. The classic "cabin in the woods" scenario illustrates how what seems to be a propitious opportunity, i.e. a state-subsidized university education, can precipitate's one ruin.

Features a chilling intro, as well as a comparison between film critic Roger Ebert's "waste of life" spent watching a two-hour movie and college graduates' "waste of life" spent earning a degree (or several), only to find their lack of full-time work experience made the decision to study full-time quite the harmful choice.
