Wilberforce Forum - Toward a Kingdom Movement With Chuck Colson

In this crisis, how does a society renew itself? Most would point to the church. But in its current state of flux, how does it recover and again become the meaningful transformation of culture; regaining its Kingdom purpose? How does it renew upright character in people if it too has succumbed to a false gospel? This sought after renewal has occurred many times before in Christian history and could again result in a renewed and strengthened church. But how? Join us on the Wilberforce Forum on Monday, September 14th as we welcome as our guest Chuck Colson. He will be addressing the current crisis we are facing and articulate its genesis. In addition, Chuck will address the issue of a new Kingdom Movement; a potential common commitment to the orthodoxy, recovery and defense of the Christian faith by ministry groups partnering to again further the Kingdom of the Gospel for the Glory of Jesus Christ.

Wilberforce Forum - Creation: Stewardship Practiced by Believers

I think we would all agree that Christians have a responsibility in preserving the earth and God’s creation, but do we recognize the impact of legislation on the poor among us especially the Third World poor? Or do we fully grasp the economic peril placed on sectors that are imperative to man’s existence (e.g. agriculture, industry and commerce) as well as to the impact such legislation may have on adequate healthcare and disease prevention? Are we positive that the ‘facts’ presented in such films as Inconvenient Truth are based on an impartial approach to the science of climatology? As we seek answers to these questions and others focusing on global warming and the environment, we welcome Dr. E. Calvin Beisner to the Forum. Dr. Beisner is a founder of and the National Spokesman for the Cornwall Alliance for the Stewardship of Creation (www.cornwallalliance.org). He is the author of a number of books and articles focusing on the application of Christian Worldview to the environment, ethics, science and public policy. Additionally, he is an adjunct Fellow at the Acton Institute (www.Action.org) and has testified before Congress regarding the economics of global warming. If you are at all interested in expanding your Christian Worldview horizons focusing on the stewardship of God’s Creation, I encourage you to join the discussion on this broadcast of the Forum.
