Our special guest, Yvette Heyliger, artist and activist, will discuss gun violence prevention through her work as a community organizer with Organizing for Action. Yvette will also talk about “Harlem Welcomes Sandy Hook Ride on Washington,” an event taking place on this coming Saturday, March 8, 2014 which supports common sense legislation, the reduction of gun violence, and honors all victims of gun violence.

Ms. Heyliger is a playwright and a producing artist.  Some may recall her as “Aunt Sarah’ from the NBC hit Cosby Show.  Since that time she has written many plays including, Bridge to Baraka: The Pioneers of the Modern Gun Rights Movement which was published in the book 24 Gun Control Plays and has been performed in Gun Control Theatre Actions in the US and Sydney, Australia.
