Mixology whiz Dee Dee Samaan doesn’t skimp when it comes to holiday cocktails. In fact, she’s got one for all Twelve Days of Christmas. “Day One’s drink is Malibu and cranberry. To make it, take six ounces of cranberry juice, one ounce of Malibu rum, and some ice. Day Two is a chocolate cake shot. There’s no chocolate in it, but when you combine these ingredients, it tastes just like a chocolate cake: half an ounce of hazelnut-flavored liqueur—like Frangelico—half an ounce of vanilla vodka, a lemon wedge, and some sugar. Next, frost the rim of an old fashioned glass with the sugar and lemon. Then add the vodka and hazelnut liqueur, and stir. Then lick the sugar rim, take a long sip of the drink and bite a piece of the lemon.” Comfort and joy, indeed, Dee Dee!
