Most anyone planning a wedding reception is sure to have alcoholic beverages on hand. But what quantity? “For people getting married closer out of college years, you tend to see more drinking, as opposed to people getting married later in life,” Jeff Caldcleugh of Binny’s Beverage Depot tells The Wedding 101 Show host David Rothstein. “And if you have a six-hour recepetion as opposed to one that last four hours, you’ll definintely need more alcohol for the longer event. But we go to the end of the earth to make sure the party doesn’t run out. We have a refund policy, so we always supply more than you need.  The standard amount people drink at receptions is about one and a quarter beverage per hour, so in calculating the total volume needed for the event, we round that up to one and three-quarters per hour in every category.”
