“When you first get engaged, you have a lot of things you’re figuring out and learning about and it becomes overwhelming because there’s so much to do,” says Debi Lilly of A Perfect Event—aka Oprah Winfrey’s wedding planner. “So we’ve created a storefront you can walk into seven days a week and see trends tables that are always set with linens and china and flowers and menu cards and favors—just like you’ve walked into a wedding. We also have a full stationary department, where we carry the big-name brands, and do custom designs. We had a bride who was marrying an NFL player and she ordered a silk box embroidered with her monogram in antigue blue with acqua gold. And, boom, that’s what we created.”
