It may be called The Big Apple, but that doesn’s mean you need a big budget to get hitched in style. “A lot of New Yorkers have a tendacy to spend much more money on their weddings than they have to,” planner Mark Anthony tells Budget Weddings host CharLena Pearson. “But the more creative you get, the better you can stretch your dollars. For example, there’s the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, there’s Brooklyn Bridge Park—gorgeous sceneries. People will spend 10, 15 thousand dollars on a venue just to get the scenery. But you can book the Japanese Garden at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens for just a few hundred dollars. And you don’t have to spend an extra cent customizing it—all the flowers are there for you!”
