If you’re in business today, you hear that being on the internet matters. It’s the new yellow pages of our world. You'll also hear pundits spout the importance of search engine ranking and how “if your website isn’t ranking high on Google, Yahoo and Bing" your business won’t survive. Well, I’m here to tell you that this is a bold face lie. Ranking high on Google or any search engine is not as important as ranking high for what your company does. What’s really important is that you rank high for the specific key words and phrases related to  your core business. On top of that, getting on page one of Google or any search engine is only half the battle. (You also need to be able to convert this traffic into sales.) Add to this the fact that there are now dozens of other ways to be found on the internet. So, that brings us to the real question. What really matters online? How about targeting your ideal audience, how about keeping a great reputation and how about converting visitors when they visit. In this episode, we will discuss many of the alternative ways you can be found on the internet and more importantly, how to convert those visitors into customers even if your website is not found on page 1 of Google search.
