So begins a new era in American society. We have on our table in front of us a vicious cycle. Everyday we are greeted with more and more great news of this company and that company getting rid of employees. Now, correct me if I am wrong, but the more and more people we are putting in the unemployment line, the more credit debt they will gather to get by each day, and less buying power they will behold to help strengthen the economy. It seems as though we are entering a monopolistic society, with a touch of socialism. Capitalism in American is starting to dwindle right in front of our eyes America. It is time to turn off the mp3 players and the televisions and open our eyes to really see the direction our country is heading. Our government continues to give money to these failing companies with CEO's spending OUR money on things we would not dream about. Yet these companies are given more and MORE. Why not give this money to the companies that are SUCCEEDING in these economic times? They obviously know what they are doing or they too would be filing for bankruptcy like every other lame duck out there. We need to get involved with our legislatures and hold these people accountable for their votes. We are being hijacked as a country, and we have been for years. Our forefathers would never have fought for this ideology and these decisions. They would have fought against this type of intstitution and instead we wallow in this demise in our own little worlds. Just remember how young this country is. Rome wasn't built in a day, but it didn't near as long to bring it to its knees.
