Once you are ready to get hired, you will schedule your job search activities on paper. 1. Follow your plans. Complete everything you list, not just some of it. Move what you did not complete to another date. Preferably the very next day. 2. List your personal activities in your job search plan. Like shopping, laundry, pick up daughter, etc. 3. List plan by the hour and by 30 minute intervals as needed. Start at 7:00Am and end at 7:00PM. 4. Listen (at a minimum) to one my job search shows daily. Getting hired starts with you demonstrating a self help attitude as you pursue your job. If you want it you have to go at it. Make it happen • Self-Help, self-help, self-help • Develop 2-3 great resumes • Set daily goals • Pleasant, positive attitude • First impressions • Seek out job prospects • Research your job prospects • Networking matters • Interview savvy • Image and Grooming • Walk-ins • Cold calls • Mail outs • On-line apps
