Kate Sullivan interviews Dr. Amy Robinson of USF St. Petersburg, who discusses general topics including the path for MFA students and a favorite author, Anthony Trollope.

Trollope's novel, The Warden (first published in 1855) resonates in today's world with themes of power, greed, and redemption. Robinson will discuss Jane Austin's often overlooked work, Persuasion.

Amy Robinson is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Literature at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg where she teaches classes in nineteenth-century British literature.  Robinson earned her Ph.D. at the University of Florida, her M.A. at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and her B.A. at Eckerd College. Currently, Dr. Robinson is working on a manuscript on comedic portraits of country-town life in the mid-Victorian novel.
