Stuck Between the Closet Doors...
Date / Time: 7/14/2008 5:10 PM UTC
Day in and Day out
Fighting, kicking, and then a shout
Let me free, let me be
Open my eyes so I can see
Hateful glares, peripheral stares
Tense backs, necks, twisted lips
Waiting for those words to slip
…But…
They think they know what I’m about
Shell I continue as an enigma
Or crack the doors with insignias
Shell I become elated or intoxicated with their fear of the liberated
Day out and Day in
I can hardly wait to begin
This sin…
Concentrating on keeping it within
It’s hard I’ve been dealt a bad card
I want to be accepted, appreciated
Emancipated by my peers, I want to hear the cheers
They say come, come, come…
Arms open wide, no one by my side
Fear in my belly, skin feeling something like jelly
Body moving closely, hand sweating profusely, eyes look erratically
They all want what’s on the outside
My flesh, my beauty
Yeah I’m a cutie
They would hide or turn their heads in disgust
Their mouth would fuss, cuss and discuss
Would have could have thoughts of lust…
No wonder they have preconceptions of the make of me
But They really Don’t know who the Fuck I Be.
With a blind eye; Day in and Day out
I leave the closet walking about
Feeling free with despair
Only wanting to share
My thought and desire
