Wooden Train Track isn't Only for Boys

When someone talks about wooden train set and wooden train track, the first thing that comes to mind is that these are boys' toys. Nothing can be further from the truth on that statement!

In fact, model train sets are not only great for boys; they are also wonderful for girls. This is especially true with Thomas & Friends train sets. Children not only get to learn great lessons from watching the show on PBS, they get to relive the experience in real life.

I have a 2-year-old daughter who just absolutely loves her Thomas train set. We didn’t realize she had such a strong affinity to it until we were shopping at a major toy store. Ashley found multiple train engines on display where children are allowed to play with them.

When she saw that it was Thomas the tank on the display table, she immediately rush towards the play area and play with the trains. I was very surprised to see her reaction since I didn’t know she like Thomas that much.

As I watched, she was narrating as well as creating scenarios based on what she had seen from the TV series. It was truly amazing that she took such a strong interest in the toys and be able to tie the two together.

Ashley was having so much fun that she didn’t want to leave the store. My daughter is afraid of being away from our sight. But on that day, even when I pretended that I have left, she acted as if it was all okay. Another huge surprise to us!

Needless to say, we bought a train set for her. She was even carrying it on her own from the shelf all the way to the check out counter, AMAZING!!

The wooden train track set was a great investment. I found out later that these wooden train sets are compatible with tracks and trains from other manufacturers. I was very excited to discover that as that means this investment will have a much longer life!
