Public relations in the 21st Century

No Spin PR was launched in November of 2008 in Vancouver, BC, by Ruth Seeley, with a seminar on social media for neo Luddites.

A skilled public relations strategist with global agency, corporate, and solopreneur experience, Ruth survived both the dotcom boom and bust, as well as life at Canada's first privately operated nuclear power plant in the aftermath of 9/11.

She relocated to Southern Alberta in 2009 and was delighted to discover she could actually run both a solo PR consultancy and a non-geo-location-specific business. She works globally with authors, publishers, scientists, and scientists who are authors, and nanotechnologists to develop sustainable, effective, results-driven public relations and social media strategies.

With a BA in English from Glendon College, York University and a background in book retailing and publishing, working with authors was a natural for Ruth. It's led to the development of a new business model for a PR consultancy, in which partnering with clients enables them to implement social media strategies that increase their global reach while engaging authentically with their audiences.
