This week on Women Warriors (Wed, Jan 25th, Noon ET) we will be discussing the critical topic of “Minimizing Conflict to Maximize our Workplace Relationships.” Our guest will be Neca Smith, the Principal of AidevO People Consulting, LLC , who specializes in helping individuals and businesses in need of behavioral change.
With 10 years of experience in organizational soft-skill training, workplace readiness program development, counseling and behavioral coaching, Neca has assisted numerous individuals and businesses in making positive transformations in their work and personal lives. She understands that often people are hired for their ability to produce results but are often fired for their inability to engage with others respectfully, elicit productive behaviors in conflict and adapt to change.
Neca received her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Health Care Management from Florida A&M University. She also obtained both a Master of Science Degree and a Specialist in Education Degree in Professional Counseling from Georgia State University. Her credentials include: Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Georgia (LPC004936), National Certified Counselor (#203466), Certified Anger Management Specialist and Certified Professional in Managing Workplace Conflict. In addition, Neca was recently selected to be a member of Firestorm Solutions Expert Council.
Neca has conducted trainings, workshops and conference breakout sessions on her expertise. In March 2011, she published her first book, “Anger Intelligence: The Workbook – Changing the Way You Think About Anger” and published her second book, “Temper Taming Tips: The College Student’s Guide to Anger Intelligence” in July 2011.
