I have several Sheros who shaped my life and path but I will write about the first today. Diana Clark in Portland, Oregon was my first spirituall guru - my inspiration for searching and finding my true voice and soul. She taught me how to appreciat this earth and to value my whole self. She led "Wild Women" retreats in eastern Oregon where we covered ourselves in mud and jumped into the cold river and then into the natural springs hot tubs and then danced and danced and just enjoyed being. She turned me on to Clarissa Pinkola Estes and Carolyn Myss, just to name a few authors and my hunger grew for reading and listening to tapes that would change me and my life forever. She inspired me to get out in nature and hike as much as I possibly could, which I did and still do today. She confronted me with honesty and truth so that I could honestly see myself and make the adjustments I needed to "be" myself, my true self... she taught me how to be a loving warrior, a goddess and gave me the courage to stand on my own two feet, no matter what. She led me to my own spirituality... a gift that I cherish everyday. I will never forget her or the impact she made on my life. She taught by example and invited so many to connect with her and to themselves and to this beautiful earth, which is more beautiful because of her.
