We also extend our invitation to you to join us during the course of the week. We will keep you posted as to what time we will be broadcasting. This year’s International Women's Day event is entitled — Women’s Health and Physical Health Well-ness for Women Entrepreneurs — a great way to celebrate International Womens' Day. This year’s event is in keeping with IWD theme “make it happen” — which suggests that what ever we focus on or want, can happen. In essence we can do what we want. We just have to “make it happen”. Our mental health and physical health should be our number one focus — and for women entrepreneurs — if we want our businesses to grow, develop and become a sustainable business entity — we must be in the driver’s seat.  The goals of this event are: One to start a dialogue on women health and physical health wellness — to break the social stigmas and taboo associated with it and that which keeps us in silence and in isolation and secondly, to spread awareness overall To implement this radio broadcast, women, both professional practitioners in the area of complimentary treatment and holistic/alternative care providers will share their perspectives. You can join us and be a part of our audience, where you too can ask a question or share your stories and point- of- views. Today's episode is on Spirituality and the Woman - - How Important is it to Living a Life of Abundance?  Dr. Cottle is an advocate of spirituality and the individual and believes that it should be an integral part to how we live and says that "it should be our core by which we live and as a  result should permeate into every facet of our lives." In addition, Dr. Cottle believes that self-love, high self-esteem, high self-concept and self-confidence, are some of the attributes that a woman should have to live a life of abundance, meaning, purpose and authenticity. Kathryn MacDougall brings to the table both her gift to the world as an humanitarian and her business acumen as an international business advisor and senior executive, coupled with years spent as  a corporate attorney brokering deals and structuring joint ventures and international mergers and acquisitions.  Kathryn left the corporate world behind in 2008 and never looked back. That decision brought her down a road of self-discovery back home to living a more authentic life, to a deeper understanding of who she really is and what she really wants to do...to have fun and to inspire everyone to live healthier, more abundant and meaningful lives. Her conscious shift towards focusing on doing what she loves has led her to delightful opportunities including working with a film production team, being approached to co-author a book and establishing a business network for entrepreneurs.  Host: Dr. Cheryl Cottle E-mail: ccottle@drcottle.com Guest: Kathryn MacDougall Sponsor: Crafted Spaces 00:30:00Dr Cheryl CottlenoDr. Cheryl Cottle,Kathryn MacDougall,Spirituality and Women in Business,Spirituality and Business, meaningful livingJoin Dr. Cheryl Cottle and her guest Kathryn MacDougall on Women in Business Radio where they will be focusing on the segment: Spirituality and Business. It is a struggle for many women who strive daily to maintain a healthy balance, so the question, is, is it achievable? We can also ask the question, does it requires a woman with particular attributes to have her biological age out weighing her chronological age? After making the call for guest on my Women in Business Radio Show, Dr. Cottle happens to observe on her profile page on Facebook that Dr. Apostle Irene Huston had recently celebrated a birthday and the photographs that she shared looked so great, that it forced her to look twice to confirm her age. They were her photographs  taken recently when she celebrated her birthday. Dr. Cottle thought that she should contact her to invite her as a guest. Dr. Huston agreed to be on her show. Dr. Cheryl Cottle was drawn to the topic after reading and seeing a photograph of 4 women taken in 1916 in Washington D.C at the "Convention of Former Slaves." They were age 104, 105, 110 and 125 year old. (Source: Harris & Ewing Collection/Library of Congress) "They looked quite fit physically and to be a part of an audience that celebrated the emancipation of slavery, reflect that they were also mentally sound" she said on seeing the photograph. This information caused Dr. Cottle to ask the question, what is responsible for these women's health and longevity? And are women today able to achieve longevity? 00:30:00Dr Cheryl CottlenoDr. Cheryl Cottle,Biological,Chronological age,Well being, balanceJoin Dr. Cheryl Cottle and her guest Dr. Apostle Irene Huston on Women in Business Radio on Monday 8 September as she continues the segment that looks at how onSpirituality in Business: Empowering Women at a Deeper and Spiritual Level, Conthttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/womeninbusiness/2014/08/26/spirituality-in-business-empowering-women-at-a-deeper-and-spiritual-level-contBusinesshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/womeninbusiness/2014/08/26/spirituality-in-business-empowering-women-at-a-deeper-and-spiritual-level-cont/#commentshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/womeninbusiness/2014/08/26/spirituality-in-business-empowering-women-at-a-deeper-and-spiritual-level-contTue, 26 Aug 2014 15:00:00 GMTSpirituality in Business: Empowering Women at a Deeper and Spiritual Level, ContJoin Dr. Cheryl Cottle your host of Women in Business Radio and guest on Tuesday 26 August at 11:00am EST to hear the discussion on the Segment of Spirituality and Entrepreneurship. They will continue yesterday's discussion, where they explored how women in business with a low self concept of themselves and money achieve financial freedom. Dr. Cottle believes that spirituality in business serves to develop a productive economic entity. She believes that "it facilitates customer relations, employee - employer relationship, and employees connectedness to the business." In this episode Dr. Cottle continues the discussion on how women can make that change by using a three prong approach to behavior modification in one's perception of money, change in one's mindset and change in one self concept. The title of this episode is entitled: "Spirituality in Business: Empowering Women at a Deeper and Spiritual level." The episode is focused on, how women in business with a low self concept of money achieve financial freedom? Dr. Cottle believes that spirituality in business serves to develop a productive economic entity. It facilitates customer relations, employee - employer relationship, and employees connectedness to the business. There is anecdotal evidence that shows that some women in business never achieve financial freedom because of their limiting belief about money. Their limiting belief about money is often tied into the low self-concept that they have. There perception of money not only affect their financial success but it also affect other women in the market place. The role of society and parenting that they receive, play a pivotal role in shaping their thinking. Dr. Cottle believes that these two social vehicles foster the negative relationship with money that some women have. This discussion will show that women with this perception and attitude can be healed. The show will focus on how women can develop a positive relationship with money by using an approach that looks at spirituality, a change in one's mindset (perception) and confidence building. Does it have an impact on how our health and fitness affect our well-being and balance as entrepreneurs. Is it achievable? Or does it requires a woman with particular attributes to have her chronological age out weighs her biological age? When a call was made to reach women with the experience Dr. Carol Soloway wrote reminding me of our interview just a couple weeks ago. She reminded me that she got married at 60 and she was also an author; and added that she believes that being mentally active, facilitates optimum health. Dr. Soloway also reminded me that she has had the experience (and is living it) and will love to share her perception and experience.  This topic is dear to me, because I have met women who does not look their chronological age; but looks years younger, but it is rare. I was drawn to the topic after reading and seeing a photograph of 4 women taken in 1916 in Washington D.C at the "Convention of Former Slaves." They were age 104, 105, 110 and 125 year old. (Source: Harris & Ewing Collection/Library of Congress) They looked quite fit physically and to be a part of an audience that celebrated the emancipation of slavery, reflect that they were also mentally sound. The image of these women begs me to ask the question, what is responsible for their health and longevity? And why is it that women today are not reaching those ages? I recently saw a photograph of a guest of mine, who is in her seventies and looks about 20 years younger. I had to investigate whether it is a doable for all women. What is the secret of life? Dr. Cottle has chosen this topic because throughout her career, she has met several women who have had to deal with divorce and recreate a life for themselves. She has found that "many women are able to overcome a divorce but many allow the challenges to prevent them from moving forward. Some women are also marginal in their business when their husbands were present; and when he left he took with him the skills-set required to run and manage a business - - and she is now left with having to rethink if she will continue to be an entrepreneur." "She also has to identify the skills-sets that she may need. This generally entails having to engage in education and training to get her skills-sets to where she will need in. She often gets into an entrepreneurial venture; not necessarilly like the one she had with her husband, but a totaly new one." Dr. Cottle hopes that this episode of "Balancing Entrepreneurship and Divorce" will be enlightening and that it will empower you to take control of your life to move on."        00:29:00Dr Cheryl CottlenoDr. Cheryl Cottle,Women in Business,Deborah,Empowerment,DivorceJoin Dr. Cheryl Cottle on Women in Business Radio at 11:00 am EST. where she talks about "Balancing Entrepreneurship and Divorce." Sometimes we have to go through many stages of change to eventually achieve the peace and life that we want. To ensure that life is worth living, one must live a meaningful life. To achieve that life, one sometimes has to transition. Transitioning or changing becomes a part of the process of growth and development. For some transitioning is a continuous process until you reach that point of self-actualization — where you know yourself, value your self-worth and love who you are. When adversity hit Mercedes due to the loss of her family’s business, Mercedes decided to look deeply into herself to find out was heart-centered and soul-filling for her. Taking care of children was her love and passion having brought up 4 sons and taken care of her seven grand-children. Mercedes also went back to college where she took a course in Early Childhood Development to better prepare her for her role in education. Mercedes is also a serial-entrepreneur recently opening  an in-home preschool and childcare. In September of this year Mercedes added a new business; a children’s party business which is named Children’s Party to Go.     Host: Dr. Cheryl Cottle Email: drccottle@gmail.com Guest: Mercedes Dash Sponsor: Crafted Spaces   Time: 11:00 am EST. 00:31:00Dr Cheryl Cottlenoadversity,Meaningful Living,Mercedes,Dr Cheryl Cottle,Women in BusinessJoin Dr. Cheryl Cottle and her guest Mercedes Dash as they talk about Meaningful Living and how it is sometimes achieved by transitioning. Dr. Sylvia LaFair was on Women in Business Radio some time ago where she spoke about Women Leadership and the Roles it plays on Entrepreneurship and the Importance of a Business Coach in the Life of a Business Woman. Today will be a continuation of that discussion Dr. LaFair believes that the behaviour that we learn in childhood are the same ones we take into our adult life in every situation; and they are not necessarily behaviours that makes us effective and successful. She works with both women and men to develop leadership skills so that they can make a difference in the lives of people that they work with. She sees male and female leadership behaviour within the framework of "Caring and Daring" and that leadership is situated culturally, historically, and biologically. She suggests that women are socialized to be care -givers, while men culturally and historically were the hunters and food gatherers; and thus were socialized to be "daring." She therefore suggests or postulates that in today's society there should be a blended - approach that integrate both "caring -and -daring" approach to leadership; a combinational approach is the new direction of leadership.    Host: Dr. Cheryl Cottle Email: drccottle@gmail.com Guest: Dr. Sylvia LaFair Website: www.ceoptions.com Sponsor: Crafted Spaces   00:29:00Dr Cheryl CottlenoDr Sylvia LaFlair,Dr Cheryl Cottle,Women in Business,Gusty,Blended - ApproachJoin Dr. Cheryl Cottle and Dr. Sylvia LaFair on Women in Business Radio where they will be talking about a new leadership model that women leaders should adoptTransitioning From Employee To Entrepreneurhttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/womeninbusiness/2013/07/29/transitioning-from-employee-to-entrepreneurBusinesshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/womeninbusiness/2013/07/29/transitioning-from-employee-to-entrepreneur/#commentshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/womeninbusiness/2013/07/29/transitioning-from-employee-to-entrepreneurMon, 29 Jul 2013 15:00:00 GMTTransitioning From Employee To Entrepreneur This week’s Women in Business Radio, looks at the social phenomenon that is occurring with rapid speed.
