Mona Lena Krook is an assistant Professor of Political Science & Women, Gender, & Sexuality Studies at Washington University in St. Louis and the author of the new book, "Quotas for Women in Politics: Gender & Candidate Selection Reform Worldwide" which was published by Oxford University Press earlier this year. She has written a number of scholarly articles and her doctoral dissertation, Politicizing Representation: Campaigns for Candidate Gender Quotas Worldwide, received an honorable mention from the American Political Science Association in 2006. She'll be joining WomenCount Radio to talk about the impact gender quotas have had on increasing female representation around world and what impacts they could have in the United States.
