Tune in as we welcome our guest Michelle Alexander. Michelle Alexander is a Financial Literacy instructor whose mission is to empower women with sound financial advice so that they can become skilled at living comfortably within their means. Michelle has worked with family and friends by first hosting a Cash Flow 101 game night. This event was used as a tool to help the attendees gain an understanding of pursuing business and investment opportunities and was then followed by a six-week course in Personal Money Management. Since then, she has conducted financial literacy seminars at local DeKalb County libraries, local chapters of IAAP (International Association of Administrative Professionals), and The House of Hope Church in Decatur. Michelle has also volunteered at Partnership Against Domestic Violence (PADV), a non-profit organization for women who have experienced domestic violence instructing residents with the Back to Basics Money Management series. It was quoted in PADV’s August 2009 monthly newsletter that “Michelle offers expert financial information to empower the women and children at our facility.” She also volunteers with Project Take Charge; a resource for DeKalb County residents needing financial assistance during challenging financial times. Michelle is also listed in the Women Speakers Magazine, a publication for Meeting Planners and Speakers. Michelle holds an Associate’s Degree in Business Management as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Finance.
