Supervising Producer, Tyler Perry Studios With two hit shows currently on the air (House of Payne and Meet the Browns) and eight films having been released in the last four years, all opening at #1 or #2 on their opening weekends, Tyler Perry Studios Supervising Producer Roger Bobb is without question one of the most successful producers working in the film and television industry today. Roger is the Supervising Producer of 172 episodes of “Tyler Perry’s House of Payne” which premiered on TBS as the highest ratedfirst run sitcom in basic cable history. He also is the Executive Producer of 160 episodes of “Meet the Browns,” which premiered on TBS as the second highest rated sitcom in basic cable history. Roger’sfilms include “Diary Of A Mad Black Woman” which has grossedover 100 million dollars in theatrical and DVD sales to date. He coproduced“Madea’s Family Reunion,” “Daddy’s Little Girls,” “Why Did I Get Married?,” “Meet The Browns,” “The Family that Preys”, “Madea Goes To Jail” and the recent hit “I Can Do Bad All By Myself,’. His films combined have grossed over half a billion dollars at the box office. Roger recently wrapped production on “Why Did I Get Married Too?,” which is scheduled to be released in April 2nd 2010. He is about to start his 10th collaboration with Tyler Perry the film version of “For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide”. Roger was named one of the top 40 executives under 40 by the The Network Journal Magazine and was named one of Atlanta’s 50 most beautiful people by Jezebel Magazine. His success has been profiled in magazines such as Essence, Black Enterprise, TV Guide and Uptown. Born in London and raised in Brooklyn, Roger’s career in film began when he was accepted into the Director’s Guild of America's prestigious Assistant Director Trainee program.
