Each week, our Women On The Move member, Shennice Pruitt Cleckley, will review and discuss the latest book "Worth Reading". The show will also feature new authors, established authors, and want-to-be authors from time to time. If it's worth reading, it will be discussed here! About Shennice Cleckley Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister; Entrepreneur, Literary Enthusiast, Blogger; Christian, Social Activist, Advocate Definitely Diva! Tonight's guest author is CATHIE BORRIE! Cathie Borrie (a.k.a. Cath, CB, Cat) has degrees in health (2) and law (1), but nothing prepared her for the seven years she spent caring for her mother who had Alzheimer’s & Parkinson's. Along this heartbreaking and unexpectedly fascinating journey, she discovered that recording conversations with her mother, writing a memoir, and learning to ballroom dance were ways to tell both her and her mother's story. Excerpts from The Long Hello were shortlisted three times in the CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) Literary Awards, Canada's most notable writing competition for unpublished work. She lives high up over the Vancouver harbor where she keeps an eye on the comings and goings of freighters and tugboats, and the vagaries of the sea, the sea, the sea . . .
