Business Women of Florida growing and nurturing professionals one woman at a time
Date / Time: 12/8/2008 2:31 PM UTC
Dear BPW member,
BPW/USA is working with a broad coalition of women’s organizations to identify qualified and accomplished women willing and able to lead our executive departments and agencies. And what better group of women to tap than BPW/USA members! Are you interested? One of those appointees could be you!
We invite interested BPW/USA members to submit their professional information for inclusion in the list to be provided to the transition team, White House, and various agencies throughout the federal government.
Women have made tremendous strides in becoming top decision makers in both public service and private enterprise. Even so, few women in American history have been given the honor of serving as presidential appointees. That is why BPW/USA is working to promote qualified and accomplished women for the over 8,000 federally appointed positions that must be filled by the incoming administration.
Check out the Plum Book for information on the available positions. Serious applicants should submit their resume along with a list of positions they are seeking to BPW/USA Director of Public Policy Rachel Lyons at rlyons@bpwusa.org.
This project is a service for BPW/USA members. If you know a qualified woman that should be included on the list, ask them to become a member of BPW/USA – it is easy to join online at bpwusa.org. Join us in fighting for equity for all women in the workplace!
Sincerely,
Deborah L. Frett CEO Business and Professional Women/USA
