The July’s book “A Husband, A Wife, and An Illness-Living Life Beyond Chronic Illness” is told from both sides of the story, the caregiver and the person who is chronically ill. There are questions and an action plan for you at the end of each chapter.

Their story captures the devastation that a chronic illness has on the patient and the caregiving spouse.
They lost everything but each other.
They were torn from their dreams because an illness wrecked their plans, dwindled away their finances, and ultimately became a battle of their lives.

But what they learned, not only to survive, but to have a life BEYOND an illness, is an inspirational tale that gives value to their journey and their relationship.

All the guys might remember Jamey Lacy July, she has been feature in fitness magazine's such as "SHAPE" and "Muscle & Fitness", as well as authoring numerous articles and lectured nationally on topics of physical and spiritual wellness.

Then she was struck down with a devastating illness at the prime of her life. She went from being an athlete, wellness expert, and speaker to living her life day to day, unsure and helpless to change it.

Dr. William July is a nationally recognized author on four relationship books and has been interviewed on national TV and radio stations. He is a member of the "American Psychological Association", the "Society for Personality & Social Psychology", and the "International Association for Relationship Research", and he regularly appears on "CNN", the "Fox News Channel", and is the regularly featured "Relationship and Personal Coach" for the "Great Day Houston Show" on KHOU (CBS). He also writes a column for "Our Texas" magazine and has also been a columnist for "Essence" magazine.

What a PHENOMENAL show!!!! Thank you so very much Dr. & Mrs. July....You two are very special individuals and I am honored to have had this opportunity to speak with you, and I am looking forward to doing it again!! hahahaha Oh and those road trips....load em up & move em out!! hahahahaha.
