What a year for Latin America! First, the 2012 elections won Latinos incredible new influence in the United States. Then last week, President Hugo Chavez, one of the most polarizing figures in the hemisphere dies, throwing the Latin American left into grief and  turmoil. and now, an Argentine pope!

So this week, Worldmeets.US we will focus southward, and dwell on what the death of Hugo Chavez means to the United States and the region.

Worldmeets.US is a non-profit media project aimed at better educating the American people and creating relationships between Americans and people from other nations.
