If you've never heard the name Jacque Fresco before, then you're probably missing out on one of the few real possibilities of actually looking into the probable outcome of the future of mankind. We're not talking about science fiction, George Lucas or Flash Gordon here, we're referring to the actual and very real future of where man could quite possibly end up within the next 5 to 10 years.
If you understand the meaning of the word anachronistic then you'll soon understand just how utterly applicable this moniker for Mr. Fresco is. Besides being a structural designer, architectural designer, concept artist, educator and futurist, Jacque Fresco's views on social cooperation, technological automation and scientific methodology has catapulted his beliefs and designs decades ahead of most people on the planet. So much so, he invented the concept "sociocyberneering" first introduced at the University of Miami in1970.
But probably one of the single largest contributions to mankind Mr. Fresco has ever made culminated in what has to be his greatest accomplishment: The Venus Project. A 21 acre, 10 building community he designed reflecting only a small sample of what an improved "resource-based" , global, sustainable, technological social design economy could be.
Meet the man behind some of the only cogent and sensibly tangible answers our world and the human race may have for peace and hope on the only planet we know: Earth.
