    Whole Earth Pets

    The concept of "Whole Earth Pets" has evolved from last June 2008 when I first conceived of it as a member based web site - I find that I enjoy talking to people about their animal companions, and about issues for animals - domestic and wild.  And so the BlogTalkRadio.com format has become the easiest and most accessible for me in my crazy schedule, and that of my friends and colleagues.

    I hope to expand the Whole-Earth-Pets channel in the next year - we currently have a regularly scheduled show "Talk to the Animals" which features noted animal communicator Sandra Larson; and this summer I introduced "Pet Talk" which I hope to produce more regularly as an interview format for authors and service providers; and this fall I introduced "Adventures with Morgan" with Dixie Richards and her cat Morgan - a more cat oriented talk show.  I have more shows and more formats planned...

    Pet Talk was premiered with Sid Korpi, author of "Good Grief, Finding Peace After Pet Loss" - on August 22nd, just a few days after my Border Collie Mix "Yogi" passed away after a sudden illness over the previous weekend.  Sid was not only an excellent guest, but a great comfort to me personally - as I knew she really had empathy for my feelings and it felt very good to hear how she counsels people in their grief.  I highly recommend her book - which can be purchased online at www.goodgriefpetloss.com .
