PEAS IN THEIR PODS

Laurell Hall will be our guest Sunday 7pm central. Please come support this mother. May 9, 1994 started off like any ordinary day. Eighteen year old Cleashindra Hall-Clea to her friends and family, left her home for her clerical job with Dr. Larry Amos, a dentist in Pine Bluff, AR. At around 8:00, Clea called her mother to check in. It was the last time Laurell Hall would ever hear from her daughter.

"Who you calling old?!"

Imagine how different things would be if aging was no longer an issue in the lives of women and men at any age. What would life be like if women and men were free to be who they were born to be if age was a non-issue. M. Cecile Forté, Ph.D., explores issues of age and aging in our youth driven society. Like most Baby Boomers, Cecile’s not “…going gently into that good night!” An author, researcher and national motivational speaker, Cecile uses her expertise in this arena which provided the basis for her one woman show, “Who you calling old?!”

The holiday season is filled with the spirit of giving, hope and love. It's also a time to enjoy peace amongst all. Author Debbie Jordan joins us to talk about her latest book The World I Imagine. In it she explores the meaning of peace as being more than just the absence of conflict. Establishing and maintaining peace will take far more creativity, dedication, and hard work than war ever did. True peace would be much cheaper and far less traumatic than any war, but, to date, no one has been able to pull it off. During this time of war so many of us have family and friends who are serving with honor for our country. Join us as we talk about true peace and the day when we can bring our sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers back home. Debbie Jordan writes a column for the Arizona City Independent Edition. She also writes for Examiner.com
