Take an accomplished television reporter standing at a crossroads. Now, throw away her straightening iron, put her in some crazy high heels and watch her transform heartbreak into an adventure… taking back her life and inspiring women everywhere to do the same. That’s exactly how Ellie became the founder of Pink Kisses.

Ellie's Aunt Cindy was the ultimate bombshell: intelligent, full of energy, infectious with her laughter, and delightfully daring. She could have the best time doing nothing at all, and she made everything more entertaining.

When she was diagnosed with breast cancer, she was determined not to let the disease overcome her (she always made a point of living her life on her own terms, anyway). Her courage was contagious, her spirit irresistible. She battled the disease, but cancer won the fight in 2004.

Ellie still misses her all the time.

Whenever something funny happens, she wants to share it with her just to hear her giggle. When she hit bottom during her big breakup, she still — for just a brief second — went to give her a call to tell her all about it. She had this wonderful ability to put things in perspective.
It’s in her memory that a part of every Pink Kisses purchase goes to breast cancer charities, to find the cure for the disease that took her aunt, her hero, and one of her best friends. She was, and always will be, the original PK bombshell.
