American Indian Art & Expression

Join Hostess Jaclyn Roessel, WnT Treasurer/Board Member, blogger and photographer as she brings forth information on Indigenous art, fashion and jewelry.   Ms. Roessel is also the Director of Education at the Heard Museum.

Guests include, Janet Cantley, Curator and Manager at Heard Museum North Scottsdale, who was the exhibit designer for the re-installation of the HOME: Native People in the Southwest exhibit at the Heard Museum in 2005. 

Also Michelle Ponce of 1 Spot Gallery Co-Founder and Executive Director will join in the discussion of Indigenous Art and Jewelry in fashion.

Kristen Dorsey (Chickasaw jeweler), Jared Yazzie (Navajo Founder/Owner OXDX clothing apparel company) and Bethany Yellowtail (Founder B. Yellowtail Designs) are prepared to discuss native made clothing and jewelry, from urban wear to haute couture, and pop jewelry, and how designers work to keep up with the ever changing fashion.  Beyond Buckskin Boutique is a proponent of the Buy Native Movement and aims to further the work of creative Indigenous artists.
