No one living in the "past" can have a vision for the future. The two do not mix. Just as Jesus said we cannot get sweet water and bitter water from the same fountain, we cannot establish a new vision while living from the perspective of the past. No one can run a race if they choose to remain at the starting block. God has a plan and a purpose for each and every one of us but unless we're willing to break away from the old and sprint towards the new, we will never fulfill our destiny and manifest the vision we see for the future. We're going to take authority over obstinacy, fear, and stagnation so we can press onward towards the prize of the high calling in Christ Jesus which enables us to pursue our vision and pursue it in excellence. (1 Corinthians 9:24)
