Joy – A Requirement for Victory (Part 2)

Everything that existed before the creation of mankind: the birds of the air; the life in the seas; the animals on the ground; all gave praise to His wonderful Name. Jesus once remarked to the disciples that if the people wouldn’t praise Him the very rocks would cry out (Luke 19:40) so how much more should we cry out the greatness of our God? There are multiple examples of victorious battles waged by the children of Israel against the children of Baal in the Bible. King David makes it clear in multiple Psalms that those battles were won through reverence, praise and joy in the Lord. Clearly there is a direct correlation between winning and the joy of the Lord which scripture tells us is our strength (Psalm 28:8).
