Melvin J. Collier, an author and genealogist, will be discussing his latest book, 150 Years Later, Broken Ties Mended, which is an unique story of discovery, triumph, and celebration that chronicles his relentless journey of unearthing his great-grandfather's mysterious history, finding his family whereabouts and their living descendants, that culminated into an unprecedented, emotional family reunion in 2009 - 150 years later.  Also an archivist at the Archives Research Center of the Robert W. Woodruff Library in Atlanta, GA, Collier has appeared on the NBC show, Who Do You Think You Are, as one of the expert genealogists on the Spike Lee episode in 2010, and he is also the author of Mississippi to Africa, A Journey of Discovery, released in 2008.  For more info about 150 years later, see www.150yearslater.com.
