what are gender non conforming children

this is going to be a very interesting and thought provoking 60 minutes.  We will be discussing what  "gender non conforming" means and what that looks like in children.

My guests will be Joel Baum the Director of Education and Training at Gender Spectrum. Gender Spectrum provides education, resources and support to help create a gender sensitive and inclusive environment for all children and teens.

Joel facilitates trainings, conducts workshops, develops curriculum,  and provides resources in service of a more compassionate and inclusive understanding of gender diverse children and youth. He has presented at medical grand rounds and recently spoke before the NIH Institute of Medicine committee exploring gaps in LGBT research. He has been featured on Public Radio Forum, All Things Considered, The New York Times, Newsweek, amoung others  Joel is a steering committee member of the National Safe Schools Roundtable, the California Safe Schools Coalition, and the Child and Adolescent Gender Center, and a member of WPATH (the World Professional Association for Transgender Health).
