Livin' Large and in Charge at Fifty

You can be middle age without having a midlife crisis.  Just ask Baby Boomer  Author/Coach/Speaker Jacqueline Wales.  She's Fabulous, Fearless, in her Fifties and isn't letting a little thing called "menopause" slow her down!

Jacqueline is one of those women who took her life's experiences and turned them into a book.  When the Crow Sings is a novel based written by Jacqueline.  The book explores the history of mothers who abandoned their children as well as the choice one young mother made to give her child up for adoption.  Jacqueline says, “By the time I was 19 I was pregnant and gave my daughter up for adoption a year later.  It was a tough decision but I could barely take care of myself as I struggled with drug and alcohol dependency.”

More than 30 years later, the native of Edinburgh, Scotland (who now lives in New York) is the mother of five and says she is using her past experiences to help other baby boomer women overcome their own obstacles and create the life they want.  “I want to encourage women that it’s never to late to pursue your passions.  I started writing at the age of 40 and earned my black belt in karate at the age of 49.  I’ve also taken up singing and discovered that I can actually carry a tune,” says Jacqueline.
