“Not tonight honey…I’m all dried up!”
OK...that's probably not something you would say to your mate but if you're going to be honest and real, that is the case sometimes when it comes to intimacy. Vaginal Dryness is one of the symptoms associated with menopause. As women age, there is a decrease in our hormone levels which causes changes in our vaginal tissue. It becomes thinner and less elastic. Nearly half of all women between the ages of 40 and 59 will experience vaginal dryness. There is less vaginal wetness even when women become aroused.
But age isn't the only reason for the dryness. Some doctors say high levels of stress can also create the problem and it's common in post partum women.
Vaginal dryness may explain female sexual dysfunction because a lack of vaginal lubrication can make sex uncomfortable--even painful for some.
Be sure to tune in on Thursday, February 20 at 12pm EST as we discuss intimacy and middle age. If you blush easily, this show isn't for you.

Internet Dating. It has become the newest way for baby boomers to hook-up online. But do you think you can honestly find Mr. or Mrs. Right in cyberspace?
I did it, but let me tell you I had to dig through some garbage to find him. For every decent individual trying to connect, there's a dozen weirdoes, freaks and other ill reputes who have nothing but "sleeze" on their minds.
I invite you to join me on my show "Whatever!Live" on Thursday, Valentine's Day, when I interview a woman who talks about her dating experience. Was she desperate or just lonely? You decide.
