Previously she was the executive director of the Dramatist Guild of America, New York City, and has worked in the nonprofit sector since 1988. For a number of years, she was a consultant to performing arts groups, conducting seminars on “The Business of Writing for the Theater,” and is the author of Stage Writers Handbook: A Complete Business Guide for Playwrights, Composers and Lyricists, published by Theater Communications Group (1997), now in its fourth printing, second edition. Singer has a BA in music composition and piano, University of Kansas, and earned her Juris Doctor degree from Rutgers University School of Law. For over 40 years, The Society of North American Goldsmiths (SNAG) has continued to support and advance the professional practice of artists, designers, jewelers and metalsmiths. Through education, innovation, and leadership, SNAG provides access to a vibrant and passionate community. The annual conference is produced by and hosted in a different North American city.
