On the Thursday, October 1st, 2009 broadcast, we're continuing our journey into the art of metalsmithing, and jewelry making, but with a twist to the business side. My guest is Andrea Hill, of Hill Management Consulting see: http://www.hill-management.com/ for more information. Prior to starting HMC, Andrea was the CEO of The Bell Group, one of the world's largest suppliers to the jewelry industry with divisions engaged in direct marketing, manufacturing of equipment and jewelry, and wholesale distribution. Andrea led that organization in designing systems and processes that enabled them to successfully implement fully-integrated ERP and CRM systems. During her 11 years there, she integrated strategic planning, designed organization and control systems to align the corporation, then tied compensation to strategy to drive performance. To sustain advances past her tenure she developed a dynamic and successful leadership team. Andrea has expert knowledge in strategic development, branding, Balanced Scorecard, leadership development, operations design, lean manufacturing, quality systems, and Theory of Constraints. Over the years Andrea has been retained for branding, direct marketing and specific target marketing growth strategies, and development and training of direct marketing personnel. She is regularly published in the business press, has written and delivered dozens of management development programs, and she excels at leading executive teams through strategic development processes.
