Richard Thomas, Mount Vernon Mayoral candidate speaks about concerns impacting the City of Mount Vernon. We'll discuss the impact, one way or the other. Councilman Thomas joins the program at 10:30am.

Gail Baxter, African-American Advisory Committee Chair and Yonkers Public Schools Parent Coordinator speaks to New York State Education Regent Judith Johnson's admonition of New York State's takeover of Roosevelt High School within a year's time. At issue, should the Yonkers Public School District relinquish control and cede its stressed school to New York State in deference to the student population. What conclusions may be drawn from one consideration or another.

Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano was host to NYS Governor Andrew Cuomo this past Sunday, June 14, 2015. The Governor aware of Yonkers education funding plight formulated a concept that would go toward satisfying the urgent funding needs of communities, such as Yonkers and Mount Vernon, communities north of The Bronx border, representing all of New York City, the most stressed and largest public school district that upon reassessment revealed the needs of the rest of the state. Mayor Spano will present us with an update and its impact on the City of Yonkers.
