Wednesday, December 12th is the Hon. Mayor Ed Koch's 88th birthday, a propitious time to take a moment in celebration of a lion of winter. Coincidentally, another lion of winter is scheduled to delight our listening audience. His name is Austin Lempit. He is a member of The Old Guard of White Plains, serving over well over 150 members stong at every meeting. Listen to his vigorous schedule and reminiscences at the 10:00 a.m. opening hour.

Following Mr. Lempit, at 11:00  a.m., is Dr. David Lent, affiliated with St. John's Riverside Medical Center of Yonkers, NY. Dr. Lent is trained in conducting a MAKOplasty robotic partial knee  resurfacing procedure, a minimally invasive treatment option for adults living with early to mid-stage ostoarthritis that has not yet progressed to all three compartments of the knee. This advanced surgery requires a surgeon controlled robotic arm system. St. John's is the first and only hospital to acquire this technology in Westchester.

Today's host is Hezi Aris.
