The week opens on Monday, December 3rd, at 10 a.m. with LaMont OyeWale' Badru, a community organizer, engaged in promoting the abandoned School 19 building and adjoining property for the purpose of a mixed-use facilty that will be adaptively re-used to house a local high school, community center, multimedia studio, and daycare center. Mr Badru is a passionate spokesperson for this "Not-for-Profit, For-People" undertaking, which is part of the Yonkers Community Governance & Development Council, better known as Community First.
