Did you know that February was National Pet Dental Health Awareness Month?

April Begosh is the owner of Healthy Pets NH, a training and education company that teaches CPR, First Aid and Wellness Care for Pets. She is certified through Pet Tech, Inc, the only international training company that exists exclusively to teach CPR, First Aid and Dental Care for pets to pet owners and pet professionals. Among her other classes, April teaches a class on Dental Care for Your Pets. Most people are unaware of the importance of proper oral hygiene and dental care for their pets. According to the American Veterinary Dental Society more than 80% of dogs and 70% of cats develop periodontal disease by the age of three. To help highlight the importance of dental care for pets, February has been named National Pet Dental Health Awareness Month.
