Sometime in the 80's we decided that fat was bad for us. So there was a crusade against fat that resulted in tons of fat free products and crazy fat free diets. The problem is your body does need fat to survive. It's just a matter of getting the right fats to fuel your metablism. It isn't as simple as unsaturated vs saturated fats either.
