Listen to this show before you hit the gym for your New Years Resolution. 45% of Americans make New Years resolutions. 38% of them are weight related resolutions. Just 8% of people who make resolutions see success. And the same is true for those with weight loss goals. 8% succeed and 7% of them use a trainer. In January of 2012 50,000 people ended up in the emergency room after injuring themselves at the gym. A trainer will of course keep accountable, keep you motivated and design your program, but the number one thing a trainer does is keep you from getting hurt and derailing your fitness goals.
