Weddings can be very stressful. I remember when I was planning my July '96 wedding to my wonderful husband, we went back and forth with all of the decisions that needed to be made, only to have to rearrange everything at the last minute when finances took a turn for the worse. While it had made sense when I did it, I regret letting go of the services of the wedding planner we hired when we first became engaged. Looking back, I remember very little of my wedding day, other than the problems that were plenty. These are things that my planner could have taken care of, especially things like making sure the photographer didn't walk around all day with the lens cap on (long story, I have no wedding photos). To that end, I decided that I would learn everything I could about wedding design and coordinating and offer what I learned to brides and grooms in the Metro Detroit area. I enjoyed a wonderful career helping plan some beautiful affairs under the name N'spirations by Carter, until 2003 when I was forced into medical retirement.
But I couldn't stay away. Between "Whose Wedding Is It Anyway", "Bridezilla", "Platinum Weddings" and the other wedding related cable shows, my passion grew. So, now I'm back. September 1st brings the official opening of Designer Touch Events (http://www.designertouchevents.com) and we've got ideas onto of ideas to help not only Metro Detroit brides and grooms, but marrying couples all over the country.
