Marshal Harry Bailey is drawn into an investigation involving his wife’s estranged maternal father who had walked out on her and her mother years earlier. Unbeknownst to her over time he rose to the position of Senior Pastor at a mega church. Along the way Marshal Bailey’s wife’s father had a series of one nighters and extramarital affairs with various church members including a woman who is now the Chairwoman of the Church Board.

The case heats up when Marshal Bailey’s wife’s biological father is accused of having an affair with a young gay man and then killing him to keep their secret. Marshal Bailey finds out that the victim was the son of the now church Chairwoman. This lead to the murder of a surprise witness against Bailey’s wife’s father, the second of the Church Chairwoman's twin son’s. When the Pastor of the mega church is thrown out of the church pulpit in complete disgrace. The ensuing media frenzy leads to the suicide of the church First Lady in the midst of rumors calling her a thief. Bailey’s wife begins to feel the strain not knowing whether this Pastor is her biological father or not and begins to drink heavily and spiral out of control; causing  Bailey’s boss to consider him a liability in this convoluted investigation. But when he finds a witness that will break the case wide open the Church Chairwoman plots to eliminate him. Follow this suspense thriller as Marshal Bailey finds himself on the sidelines of an investigation that is tearing his family apart, and persecuting the church Pastor.
