A young girl decides the kind of life she wants to live, and then seeks out and goes after a man to fulfill her every dream. She runs up enormous debts under each of their names and takes out substantial life insurance policies on both of them including the young son. When she leaves town with her pickings she leaves the young son without an inheritance and that is when Marshal Harry Bailey is drawn into the madness.

Once Marshal Bailey is drawn in the case against her begins to mount up with body after body marking her trail until, a failed full identity make over threatens to cover her tracks for good. Finally a freak turn of events exposes her real identity and everyone ask the question will Marshal Bailey take down the "Selfish" Deadly Journalist.
