The Minas is the 3rd in the 12 volume Marshal Bailey Parables of Life series. The case is drawn from the Biblical parable about the talons or in this case Minas. Marsha Bailey is drawn into an joint agency investigation of a powerful global corporate executive who traveled abroad to take control of the assets of a major foreign corporate conglomerate leaving his 3 chief Vice President’s in charge of running his business.

After winning a large international corporate lawsuit, this ruthless executive left to retrieve his winnings by completely dismantling and selling off all of the assets of the losing corporation and merging its clients into his own operation. While he was away, his 3 Vice Presidents who were left to run his company found themselves the subjects of a human trafficking and money laundering investigation.

Marshal Bailey’s former Chief Assistant Investigator, is also caught up in this fraud and plots to hide their own involvement even at the risk of sabotaging the success of the investigation, as well as their career and personal freedom. In their effort to hide their involvement they caused the disappearance of a key whistle blower, which threaten to turn the corporate owner into a murder suspect.
