You would be hard pressed to find anyone of sound mind who would argue against the fact that education in the City of Detroit is in need of drastic change. Even the secretary of education under President Obama lamented that he looses sleep at night from worrying about what is happening to children of Detroit who are being subjected to an education system that would make a third world country blush. Something must be done-But what? While the Detroit media exploit the situation just to get ratings; while the DPS school board runs around without a plan, and while the marchers and protesters have found a new reason to march; could it be that Robert Bobb and those behind him are actually doing us a favor by destroying the current system?
